The first chapter is up for your viewing pleasure. It's been beta'ed by a good friend and was a royal pain in the ass to write. I'm pretty happy with it though. The next chapter is, probably, going to be on the short side. I'm debating whether or not to put more than three chapters up but seeing as this page hasn't gotten any real exposure...I doubt I will.
BUT WE SHALL SEE!
.:About the Chronicles:.
The world, upon waking, was just how it’s inhabitants left it as they drifted off to sleep. Or was it? Everything seemed normal, there were no massive fires, car wrecks, or looting. The new day just was. Strange occurrences began cropping up in the sleepy town of Doggrove. The town’s inhabitants were plagued by what was reported to the media as ‘mass riots’.
People began flooding the hospitals as injuries occurred from said ‘riots’ but there was something very disturbing about the injuries. Most were animalistic in nature and yet, were inflicted by people. Military airplanes began flying over the city almost day and night. It was clear something was amiss. People were not allowed into the city, or to leave.
The military was trying to keep something quiet. But what?
Whatever it was it had the town’s people panicking and frantic. People were dieing and getting ill. Creatures roamed the streets, attacking and sometimes killing whomever they came into contact with; they fed on human flesh and rarely animals.
They seemed to hunger for it.
The world is a very different place now. Could man have finally met his match and face extinction?

The chapter of doom
This first chapter is SO damn long! Maybe I'm procrastinating a bit as well. Who knows, I don't. The fear of writing has long since passed. I'm in a back room with windows that I can barely fit though and I'm smaller than most. So, I'm set! The next two chapters should come more easily since I'm just laying the foundation now.
Random side note: The very aged are creepy as shit.
(even my Gran who lives with me, I guess it's the thought I could find them dead or something, how selfish of me)

Story Online
I'm planning on submitting the first three chapters to various websites, just to get feedback and such. But they will most definitely be put up here as well for your reading pleasure. I'm still half-way through chapter one at the moment. I may also put a few more up depending on how short a few of these chapters may be,=.
I'm also commissioning a friend of mine for, what I feel, will be a very kick-ass banner for the blog. Mmmmm zombie goodness.

Writing, Writing, and More Writing
I have to admit, I'm easily scared by horror/sci-fi things. Even the paranormal.
So I'm seriously considering changing where I write. As it is now I have a glass sliding door behind me (right behind me), and a huge picture window in front. The more I write the more paranoid I get about random sounds or the dog's nails on the doors.
Intellectually I know the chances of anything like this happening are...well I take that back. Frankly, I think it could happen eventually. I hope to God I'm dead before then.
But, back on track!
Is is sad that my own writing affects me? I have a vivid imagination and these images just pop into my head and won't go away! That's one of the reasons I'm devoting a lot of time to work on this...if only to make the images go away.
