.:About the Chronicles:.
The world, upon waking, was just how it’s inhabitants left it as they drifted off to sleep. Or was it? Everything seemed normal, there were no massive fires, car wrecks, or looting. The new day just was. Strange occurrences began cropping up in the sleepy town of Doggrove. The town’s inhabitants were plagued by what was reported to the media as ‘mass riots’.
People began flooding the hospitals as injuries occurred from said ‘riots’ but there was something very disturbing about the injuries. Most were animalistic in nature and yet, were inflicted by people. Military airplanes began flying over the city almost day and night. It was clear something was amiss. People were not allowed into the city, or to leave.
The military was trying to keep something quiet. But what?
Whatever it was it had the town’s people panicking and frantic. People were dieing and getting ill. Creatures roamed the streets, attacking and sometimes killing whomever they came into contact with; they fed on human flesh and rarely animals.
They seemed to hunger for it.
The world is a very different place now. Could man have finally met his match and face extinction?
Writing, Writing, and More Writing
Work is leaving me swamped with want for time to write. This novel has been floating around in my head for quite some time now and it's actually begging my muse to be let out. So I'm using most of my free time to sit down, crank up my music, put on headphones and do just that.
I have to admit, I'm easily scared by horror/sci-fi things. Even the paranormal.
So I'm seriously considering changing where I write. As it is now I have a glass sliding door behind me (right behind me), and a huge picture window in front. The more I write the more paranoid I get about random sounds or the dog's nails on the doors.
Intellectually I know the chances of anything like this happening are...well I take that back. Frankly, I think it could happen eventually. I hope to God I'm dead before then.
But, back on track!
Is is sad that my own writing affects me? I have a vivid imagination and these images just pop into my head and won't go away! That's one of the reasons I'm devoting a lot of time to work on this...if only to make the images go away.
